A
place to become all God has created you to be -- through encouragement,
discipleship, support and friendship.
Our goal for women’s ministry is to see
women Passionately following the call the Lord has for them, ministering to
each other, and experiencing the joy of the Lord - and then giving that joy
to others and watching it spread! Whether we are having small groups, Bible
studies, activities and adventures or outreaches in Garden City our desire
is to encourage women to grow in their walk with the Lord.
Two are better
than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down,
his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to
help him up! Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how
can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend
themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
(NIV)
Below is a listing of
various opportunities to gather with other women at Vineyard Boise. Be sure
to check back often as we update the list. Our current newsletter can also be
accessed at the bottom of this page.
In the
Messiah, in Christ, God leads us from place to place in one perpetual
victory parade. Through us, he brings knowledge of Christ. Everywhere we go,
people breathe in the exquisite fragrance. Because of Christ, we give off a
sweet scent rising to God, which is recognized by those on the way of
salvation – an aroma redolent with life. 2 Corinthians 2:14-15 (The Message)
Christmas
Tea
Women love to
get together in a beautiful setting and our Christmas tea provides that
opportunity. This is an event to either practice your gift of hospitality or
be a guest at one of the tables. Either way, you will enjoy the event. We
have worship, a short devotion, fellowship, delicious food … and of course
tea!
He who
refreshes others will himself be refreshed. Proverbs 11:25
Women’s Retreats
Currently, we hold two retreats each year. One
in the Spring and one in the fall. The cost for our retreats is
approximately $100 and our speakers and worship teams vary. Watch the
bulletin for details on upcoming retreats.
Therefore, put on every piece
of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil.
Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground,
putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. For
shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be
fully prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to
stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and
take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Ephesians 6:13-17

Praise
the Lord. Praise the Lord from the heavens, praise him in the heights above.
Praise him, all angels, praise him all heavenly hosts. Praise him, sun and
moon, praise him all you shining stars. Praise him, you highest heavens and
you waters above the skies. Let them praise the name of the Lord, for he
commanded and they were created.
Psalm
148:1-5
Women’s
Bible Studies
There are a
variety of fellowship groups and Bible studies for women at Vineyard Boise.
Our groups focus on different areas of personal growth along with fellowship
and prayer. It is our purpose to provide opportunities for fellowship,
encouragement, teaching, outreach and support for the women of the Vineyard
Boise. Watch the Trellis (our class publication) for new classes beginning
soon.
When
your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my heart’s delight, for I
bear your name, O Lord God Almighty. Jeremiah 15:16
Community
Outreach
Whether we
decide to help out with benevolence in the Vineyard Barnabas Center food
pantry or medical clinic; Feeding God’s Children – ministry to the homeless,
cleaning up the Greenbelt
or working in the wilderness, we will offer opportunities for women to
gather together and share the work of Christ.
But
what happens when we live God's way? He brings gifts into our lives, much
the same way that fruit appears in an orchard - things like affection for
others, exuberance about life, serenity. We develop a willingness to stick
with things, a sense of compassion in the heart, and a conviction that a
basic holiness permeates things and people. Galatians 5:22 (The Message)
