The Lord’s Supper
Thursday, April 8, 7:00 p.m.
At Vineyard Boise in the new Sanctuary
On
this night we will tell three stories of the Passover: the first
Passover in Egypt with Moses, a traditional Passover meal with a Jewish
family, and the Last Supper as told by the Apostle Peter. Our gathering
will end with a celebration of Communion.
 |
Childcare is available for kids five years old and
younger. Please check them into the nursery where you will be
provided with a vibrating pager in case your child needs you during
the presentation. |
 |
Children older than five are welcome to join us in
the sanctuary for the presentation provided they are sitting with
their families. |
 |
Although the Passover is traditionally a meal, we
will not be serving a dinner. We will be partaking in communion
together at the end of the service. |
The Walk to Calvary
Friday, April 9, 6:30 p.m.
Idaho Botanical Gardens, the Old Idaho
Penitentiary, and the top of Table Rock
We
will trace the steps of Jesus from the Garden of Gethsemane to Calvary.
As the sun is setting, we will carry our cross to the top of Table Rock,
where we will have an opportunity to identify our sins with the death of
Christ. Along the way we will meet James and John, two of Jesus’
disciples. We will also meet Pilate who presided over the Jesus’ trial.
 |
The gate to the Idaho Botanical Gardens will open at
6:15 p.m. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. |

gate of the Idaho Botanical Gardens where the Walk to Calvary will
begin. |
 |
All forms will be collected at the Idaho Botanical
Garden entrance gate. This is your ticket for admission to the
night’s events. |
Things to know about the walk
 |
The walk is a 1000 ft climb over a ¾ mile distance.
It is a workout, but most people should be able to complete the
event on foot. |
 |
We begin the walk at dusk but walk back down the
Table Rock hill in the dark. Please bring a flashlight. |
 |
There are no restroom facilities on the walk. There
will be portable bathrooms available in the Garden and at the top of
Table Rock. |
 |
Please bring a water bottle or canteen for drinking
on the hike. |
 |
Last year was very windy on top of Table Rock. Please
be aware of the weather conditions for Friday night and dress
appropriately. |
 |
Please do not deviate from the main path going up to
Table Rock. We want to help preserve the mountainside. |

Calvary, however please be aware of the strenuous nature of the

top of Table Rock. |
Sin Cards
 |
At the top of Calvary (Table Rock) we will be placing
our Sin Cards in a wooden box at the foot of the cross. Two Roman
guards will be bringing the box through the crowd so that everyone
will have access to it. A hymn is printed on the back of the sin
card. You may want to hold on to the card until we have all sung
together. |
 |
Sin Cards are available in this packet. Additional
cards will be available at the entrance gate of the Idaho Botanical
Garden. |

 |
Vineyard Boise is providing two buses for
transporting the elderly and those who would have difficulty with
the physical hike. We have room for 88 individuals. Please sign up

Rock if you do not want to make the walk to the cross. A map is
