How to get involved...
How do worship band leaders become aware of potential
musicians & singers?
The recommendations of friends. Casual social
contact within the church.
There are other factors involved such as:
The timing of God's call on each individual. Whether
or not there are currently openings for musicians. Also, the personal preferences of
each worship band leader in choosing team members.
"You won't have to sell anyone on the
idea that you should be in a band"
How aggressively should a person be in pursuing the
possibility of being on a worship team?
Being free of selfish ambition and self promotion is one of
the qualifying requirements for worship team involvement. If you have a desire to be
involved and if God wants you to be involved, then the right opportunities open up in His
timing. You won't have to sell anyone on the idea that you should be in a
band. That's God's job!
On the other hand, if you never take any
steps to pursue involvement in worship ministry, you will never find out if it's the right thing for you. Feel
free to contact Andy Hendley to ask some questions - 377-1477

specialty services)
- Worship support teams (running overheads, & video, being
a stage hand)
- Children, youth & specialty worship teams (leaders &
band members)
- Small group worship (discipleship
groups, men's & women's ministry meetings, training
classes)
