What to Expect

We have our sanctuary set up in tables, but why?

At the beginning of the 2018, we went into “uncharted territory” and decided to take our sanctuary from rows in circles around tables, but why?

Because church is family and family is all about participation and engagement with God and one another.

More in a mood to observe with a bit more personal distance? We have provided smaller bistro tables along the back walls.

We want to FACILITATE engagement, NOT FORCE IT.

The tables are numbered not because this is a banquet hall with reserved seating but simply to help you find each other (you can text friends and family your table number - Yes, families can sit together at a table!)

Whether you jump in and engage at the tables or would like to observe for awhile at one of the bistro tables along the back wall, WE’RE JUST GLAD YOU ARE HERE.

Over the past 25+ years, Vineyard Boise has grown to become a diverse church with an emphasis on local and global outreach. Vineyard Boise is located on a 20 acre campus on North Bradley Street in Garden City, Idaho.

Who We Are

Who We Are

Vineyard Boise is a body of believers in the heart of Garden City that has been serving Boise since 1989.

We are a non-denominational Christian church that pursues authentic Christian life and endeavors to develop mature, reproducible, Spirit-filled Christian disciples, in order to Make The Invisible God Visible.

Tri Robinson and his wife, Nancy, planted the Vineyard Boise church in 1989. For 23 years, they served faithfully as the Lead Pastors, challenging the church to love the world in radical and real ways, to be authentic disciples of Jesus, not only in word but in deed. In 2012, Tri and Nancy transitioned out of the Lead Pastoral role, and raised up new leaders in Trevor and Andrea Estes for Vineyard Boise’s next generation.

What We Believe

Vineyard Boise is a body of believers that pursues authentic Christian life and endeavors to develop mature, reproducible, Spirit-filled, Christian disciples...

...that will receive ministry from the Lord (through His saving grace, forgiveness, healing and unconditional love and through the revelation of His Bible and by the Holy Spirit); minister to the Lord (be uninhibited in worship, devoted in prayer, generous in giving and in service); and minister with the Lord – proclaiming His words and doing His works.

Vineyard Boise is a member of the Association of Vineyard Churches, a network of over 1,500 churches worldwide.

Jesus lover. Born and raised in Boise, Trevor joined the Vineyard shortly after it was planted in 1989. After spending several years back and forth in missions – attending as well as teaching Biblical Studies in YWAM schools in SE Asia – Trevor and his wife Andrea returned to Boise, and joined Vineyard Boise’s staff in 1999 serving as youth pastors for several years. In 2012, Pastor Trevor completed a seven year transition with Pastor Tri to become the Lead Pastor of Vineyard Boise.

Mike and his wife LaWayne have found home within the Vineyard Boise community for over a decade. From the vantage point of the campus bookstore that he oversees, Mike pours out his heart to empower the church to experience the life-changing dynamics of face-to-face small group life, writes the weekly materials for individual and group devotions, as well as helping to provide a platform of classes for ongoing education within Vineyard Boise.

Jesse NEW 2 copy.png

Jesse Meyer - Staff Pastor: Worship

HUNGRY FOR GOD. THIRSTY FOR SINGLE ORIGIN COFFEE. LOVER OF AMBIENT GUITAR TONES, SONGWRITING, AND SASQUAtCH (SERIOUSLY).

Husband, father, and an unabashed shedder of tears who desires to see people encounter the Living God in authentic, spirit-filled, whole-hearted, whole-life worship. Jesse and his wife Larissa have been at Vineyard Boise since 2003 when they both encountered God in a powerful way through the ministries and people of this church. That's why it was so hard for them to leave Vineyard Boise in 2010 when God called them to worship ministry in Portland, Oregon. However, God still had plans for them here and five years later in 2015 they were overjoyed to return to Vineyard Boise when Jesse came on staff as our worship pastor. Now bring on that next move of God in our midst!

Michael Montford - Executive Pastor

Focused. Dedicated. Persevering man of vision and faith, of Word and ministry.

Michael set his heart on bringing solid, biblical higher education into a dynamic local church setting when he first came on staff as the Director of VCOM – Vineyard College of Mission in 2006. Since then Michael’s passions, education, and gifts have converged as he now serves the Church as the Executive Pastor.

Even though Terra has traveled to many cultures, she found her tribe when she found the Vineyard. Terra recently took the helm of i-61 Ministries, a local and international ministry that serves the larger Vineyard Movement in areas of justice and compassion. i-61 shows the love of Christ to the broken, desolate and downtrodden in real, practical ways (Isaiah 61:1- 4).

Bearded husband of Lindsay. (Fur) father of Clyde. Producer of music. Lover of coffee. Product of the Pacific Northwest. All around media guy.

Mitchell and his wife Lindsay came to Boise in 2016 after a whirlwind of cross-country moves and living the band life. With a degree in music production and 10 years of experience under his belt, combined with his ability to play most instruments, Mitchell has worked with major record labels both as musician and producer. He has always stayed connected with the local church and finds his greatest opportunity for service behind-the-scenes doing all the tech and design stuff that keep things flowing smoothly. Mitchell says he can’t wait to grow old, when his outsides will match his insides and he can sip his coffee in a porch rocking chair, cozied up in a grandpa sweater.
